On behalf of members of AMSA, Will Figueira, President provided comments on the Draft Management Plans for Australia's Marine Parks. To provide the most comprehensive, and specific comments for the submission, the Council asked the State Branches to conduct open, roundtable discussions with their members. The comments are science-based, with reference to peer-reviewed articles where possible, or follow general scientific principles as they apply to the Internation Union for the Conservation of Nature.
