New Members
Please click Apply for Membership on the left navigation pane on the Membership page or Become a member on the Home page. You will need a current AMSA member to nominate you. If you do not know anyone, please send an email to the Membership Administrator.
Your application will be considered formally at the next National Council Meeting which is held three times annually. In the interim, once your nominator confirms your application (and supervisor for Student Membership application), you will have full access to the AMSA website, access to our regular eNews and will receive a copy of the next AMSA Bulletin.

Renew Membership
To renew your membership, log in to the site from the Home page, click on Membership, then Renew Membership. Select the link that represents your current membership type, which takes you to a secure form for online payment via credit card or Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT). You will immediately receive a receipt advising of the success of your payment if you paid by credit card or an invoice with bank details if you have chosen to pay by EFT.
Updating your details
To update your details, click on your username at the top right corner of the website. General updates can be made from the View tab. More detailed updates can be made from the Edit tab. You can also change your username/email and passwords on the Account page.
Forget Username
Your username is the email address that you have registered with AMSA, unless you have changed it to something else. If you have forgotten what you have changed it to, you can still use your email address to login.
Forget Password
Click the Request new password on the Home page. An email will be sent to you with a link. This link can only be used once to log in and will lead you to a page where you can set your password. It expires after one day and nothing will happen if it is not used. If the email you enter does not match the email on the system, it will not work. Please send an email to the Membership Administrator to reset your email address.
Lapsed Members
If your membership expiry is within 6 months, your membership status is now in the "Grace" period. If you wish to continue to be an AMSA member, please login and renew your membership. There will be no lapse in your membership, i.e. it will continue from when it expired. For example, if your membership expiry date is 31 May 2015 and you renew before 30 November 2015, then the new expiry date will be 31 May 2016. Continuous membership is important if you want to be considered for honorary membership.
If your membership is more than 6 months in arrears, your membership status is now "Expired". If you wish to continue to be an AMSA member, please login and renew your membership. Note that there will be a lapse in your membership, i.e. there will be a new start date, which is from the day you make payment and the end date will be a year from the start date.
If you wish to maintain continuous membership from the last end date, please send an email to the Membership Administrator. Once payment of all fees in arrears has been made within 5 working days, your membership end date will be adjusted by the Membership Administrator. Otherwise your membership will remained in the "Expired" status. Payment must be made for the years in arrears and the current year. For example, if you want to pay your membership dues up to 31 May 2016 but your membership expired on 31 May 2014, you will have to pay membership dues for year ending 31 May 2015 and another payment for year ending 31 May 2016.
If your membership is over three years in arrears, please start a new membership. Please note that this will require a new nomination from a current financial member of AMSA and subsequent approval by Council before your membership is restarted.
If your membership is in the "Grace" status, you will continue to receive eNews and the Bulletin (if published during the time) until the status changes to "Expired" (when more than 6 months).
