Fifth Marine & Freshwater Student Symposium

Connect with fellow post-grad students undertaking marine or freshwater research, practice presenting your research, and learn essential career skills. A line-up of some of Australia’s leading marine scientists will share with us their tips to success.
The conference will run over three days, with an introductory workshop on Friday night, workshops on Saturday and student talks on Sunday.
Workshops cover topics from experimental design and statistics, to understanding marine park permits, engaging inudstry partners in your research, communicating your research effectively, and more!
Your registration costs include all meals and accommodation for the weekend.

About Stradbroke Island
Moreton Bay Research Station is located at Dunwich on North Stradbroke Island
Easily accessible from Brisbane Airport by train & ferry (or about 1.5 hours by car)
It is a unique 27,700 hectare sand island, and the surrounding waters support an incredibly diverse range of terrestrial, coastal and marine ecosystem

Travel Grants
