Kimberley Millers – Secretary

As Australia’s peak professional body for marine scientists from all disciplines and for over 60 years has promoted all aspects of marine science in Australia. AMSA operates with a membership network of individuals and corporate affiliates as a not-for-profit organisation.

Kimberley is a Postdoctoral Research Scholar with the USGS, Oregon Cooperative Fisheries and Wildlife Research Unit at Oregon State University. Her PhD was with the ARC Centre of Excellence for Environmental Decisions (CEED) at The University of Melbourne. She has broad marine research interests in ecology, conservation, management, policy and ecological modeling. Kimberley completed a Bachelor of Science (Hons) at the University of Queensland in 2007. Her PhD research focuses on advanced statistical modelling to understand and improve the management of an invasive seastar. Kimberley joined AMSA in 2009 and has been a councillor since 2011 and the secretary since 2013.
