Rachel is a post-doctoral researcher with Charles Darwin University and the Australian Institute of Marine Science. Her research interests are cross-disciplinary and include supporting the aspirations of Indigenous peoples in Sea Country, Indigenous research methodologies, marine megafauna and their habitats, environmental impact assessment and biodiversity offsets. She has worked in tropical and arid marine environments across northern Australia, the Pacific and the Middle East in government, private practice and university roles. Rachel has a proficient understanding of marine estate matters, environmental and Indigenous policy, environmental risk assessments, including Sea Country planning and program development with Indigenous groups. She is the current Chair of the NT AMSA branch.
