AMSA2010 Poster Preparation and Information

An abstract must be submitted for all poster presentations - please refer to Abstract Formatting and Preparation.

The dimensions of the display panels that will be available are 2.4m (wide) x 1.2m (high/deep), with the board approx. 600mm from the floor.

The space allocated for your poster is one half of this panel - i.e. a maximum poster size of 1.2m wide x 1.2m high (standard A0 size is 1.189 x 0.841) (i.e. portrait orientation) will fit. Could you please prepare your poster to those dimensions. No other shape or orientation is available. If you need more than one poster space, please advise. The boards will require velcro with which to attach your poster - while some will be provided, please ensure you have the necessary equipment with which to hang your poster.

Posters may be hung at the conference venue, McKinnon Building foyer, University of Wollongong, on Sunday 4th July from 1400 to 1600 hours, prior to the Welcome Function. If you are unable to hang your poster at that time, please email and make an alternative arrangement to hang your poster on the morning of Monday 5th July from 8am onwards. All posters must be hung by the end of the lunch break on Monday 5th July in preparation for the Poster Cocktail Session.

Poster Presentation - Poster Cocktail Session

The presenter/author is to stand by the poster to answer any questions during the Poster Cocktail Session on Monday 5th July, 5:30 - 7:30 pm, following on from the end of the day's scientific program. It is during this time also that the student posters will be judged by the AMSA judging panel.

Poster Removal

Posters will be able to be taken down from the display after afternoon tea on Thursday, 10th July. Any posters remaining on site after the end of the conference on Thursday will be available for collection from the office of Dr Andy Davis, University of Wollongong, where they will be stored until the end of July. If the poster is not collected, or alternative arrangements have not been made by then, the poster will be thrown out.
