AMSA-SA is proud to support the official launch of Dr Scoresby Shepherd’s memoir
“Paradise is Underwater”.
Dr Scoresby Shepherd has contributed immensely to marine science locally, nationally and internationally over many decades. He was a foundation member of AMSA and has been involved with the association since the early years, becoming a life member in 2002. In 1997 he was the recipient of the prestigious Silver Jubilee award. He has now written his memoir, an entertaining account of his many and varied experiences in his pursuit of marine knowledge.
The launch of Scoresby’s autobiographical book will be held at SARDI Aquatic Sciences on
Friday 22nd July 2016 from 5:30 pm.
This is a not to be missed event for those that have an interest in the history of marine science in South Australia. Come along to hear Scoresby speak about his marine science career in this live interview setting, where he will answer questions from the audience. Professor Rob Lewis, a long-time friend of Scoresby’s and fellow marine science researcher, will launch the book.
