Eligibility Criteria for Student Prizes and Subsidy
Please note that eligibility criteria for the student prizes differs from eligibility criteria for the student travel subsidy. Both are outlined below.
General Eligibility Criteria for all AMSA awards
- Must be a financial student member of AMSA and can be enrolled either part time or full time.
- The work presented has to have been done as the research project to fulfil the requirements of the award of a research degree (i.e. PGDiploma, Honours, Masters or PhD) and presented within 18 months of thesis submission.
- Students must be identified and vouched for by the project supervisor(s).
Additional Criteria

- Must have been a financial member of AMSA since the date of the close of abstracts for the conference at which the presentation is to be made.
- A Student Prize Application form (pdf 80kb) must be submitted with your abstract, or no later than the commencement of the conference. This enables the committee to organise judges to be in the session in which you are presenting. Late applications therefore cannot be considered.
